Former PSL coach lands prominent job in Lesotho

Jelusic has been confirmed as the new head coach of the Lesotho national team.

The Serbian replaces another South African coach Thabo Senong, who resigned from the position late last year to join Sekhukhune United in the DStv Premiership.

Jelusic has since been believed to have been handed a two-year deal.

"We had more than 100 applicants," Lesotho Football Association communications manager Mikia Kalati tells KickOff.

"It was not an easy process owing to the number and quality of coaches that applied for the position.

"After a thorough process and shortlisting we managed to come up with the best candidate.

"Mr Jelusic has worked across Africa in South Africa, Botswana and Zambia and understands African football.

Former Polokwane City coach, Luc Eymael is another candidate who reportedly applied for the coaching position.
