The deal is thought to be all but done after a consortium of backers reached an agreement to buy Ea Lla Koto’s PSL status. A source close to Stars says the meeting is expected to clear up a lot of frustrations around the club as rumours about the imminent sale spread.

“As I’m saying the meeting started now at 11 [am]. It is the team management, staff and players. I think they have finalised the deal now. All of us were in the dark regarding this because we have been hearing rumours. Management was not saying anything,” the source tells KickOff.com.

The source adds that there is also talk of buying the status of a National First Division side. “There’s also the rumour that they are planning to buy Umtata Bush Bucks, the status, it means we’ll only spend one season in NFD then we’re back. We’re talking about business, it's money.

“What I heard is that it’s only the status and not the players that are being sold [to Swallows] meaning that we can still retain the players for NFD and that will not affect their salaries,” the source concludes.
