Swallows’ new backers were given a deadline of 10h00 this morning to complete the transaction to buy Stars before the PSL would consider approving the deal, reportedly worth close to R60-million.

However, until the time of compiling the story, the Dube Birds had not shown up with the cash, according to a source close to the matter.

“It looks like the deal might not happen. The money has not yet been paid,” says the source.

“Let’s wait and see, there are still a few hours but looking at the situation at the moment the deal might not happen, unless something happens in the next few hours.”
