Free State Stars not worried new coach Denis Lavagne a candidate for Guinea job

Guinea are without a coach after Luis Fernandez left just days before they played and lost to Swaziland in a 2017 AFCON qualifier in June.

The West African country has since released a 15-man shortlist for the coaching job and amongst them is Lavagne who was only introduced as Stars coach last month.

However, Ea Lla Koto are not worried that interest in their new mentor will amount to anything material.

“We are well aware of it [interest]. The coach has a contract with us already so it means they [Guinea] will have to buy him out of the contract," a source tells snl24.com/kickoff.

"No one is worried at the club because he is still with the boys doing what he’s supposed to do. No one is showing any panic signs. The coach is just waiting for his work permit."
