After Ajax Cape Town labelled Mamelodi Sundowns boss Patrice Motsepe their "number one customer", KickOff.com recalls the deals between the two clubs over the years.

Motsepe on Tuesday celebrated his 58th birthday, 16 of which have come since he took 100 percent control over Sundowns from the Tsichlas family back in May 2004.

To this effect, Ajax took to their Twitter account to wish the mining magnate and prominent business mogul a happy birthday while also poking fun at the number of players he has since snapped up from Ikamva.

Upon reflection, Motsepe's relationship with the Urban Warriors began back in July 2007 when The Brazilians swooped on midfielder Brent Carelse, who was 25 years old at the time.

The Tshwane giants have since signed numerous other stars directly from their Cape Town counterparts, with their latest acquisition having been goalkeeper Jody February, who is currently on loan at first division side Cape Umoya United.

There are also reports that Pitso Mosimane has already secured a deal for Ajax midfielder Grant Margeman to be shipped in at Chloorkop at the end of this season.
