Mamelodi Sundowns have completed some shrewd business with the contract renewals of two star players that will tie them down until June 2025.

Gaston Sirino and Thapelo Morena have both put pen to paper on new five-year deals as Sundowns show strong intent in their future plans.

This follows the club's renewal of coach Pitso Mosimane and captain Hlompho Kekana, who both signed new four-year contracts this year.

The Brazilians have placed their focus on long-term planning, with a particular focus on key individuals who they believe can help the club achieve its targets.

"Mamelodi Sundowns is pleased to announce that Thapelo Morena and Gaston Sirino have put pen to paper and signed contract extensions with the Brazilians. This will see Thapelo and Gaston in the Brazilian yellow until 2025," read a statement on Downs' website.

Morena, who is currently recovering from a serious ankle injury and is due to make a return soon, has reacted upon signing the deal this week.

"Masandawana, I am happy and excited to let you know that I have extended my contract with Mamelodi Sundowns, we still have a long way to go and many more trophies to win! Ka Bo Yellow," said the 26-year-old former Bloemfontein Celtic winger on the website.

Meanwhile, Sirino, who will have to serve a two-match ban upon the return of the PSL once the government issues the green light for matches, feels his best form for the team is yet to come.

“I am happy to extended my contract at the club. Me and my family are happy and settled here in 'Mzansi', so that gives me comfort to push hard on the pitch,” he expressed.

“I believe my best years are ahead of me, and am confident we will add trophies with this group of players.”
