Gavin Hunt rules Ramahlwe Mphahlele out of Soweto Derby

Chiefs and Pirates are set to square off for a third time this season in a DStv Premiership encounter at FNB Stadium on Saturday afternoon (15h30).

With just four points separating the two sides in fifth and seventh position respectively, a resurgent Amakhosi will be hoping to avenge their 5-0 aggregate defeat to the Buccaneers in the MTN8 semi-final a few months ago.

However, Hunt has already confirmed that defender Ramahlwe Mphahlele will not be fit for the third game running after sustaining a hamstring injury last week.

"Rama has, you know, had a decent season with us so far, so that's been a bit of a blow because that's areas of the field I don't really want to change, and we've had to change in the last two games," Hunt told the media.

"I think it also affected us [against Baroka] but, I mean, we need to be better. But he's a blow, and then Bernard [Parker] coming back gives you another option. That's pretty much it."

Parker's return follows his two-match suspension after picking up a red card in their 3-0 win over Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila last week.

Also ruled out of the clash is Khama Billiat, who is only expected back in mid-March after suffering a leg fracture midway through January.
