The 29-year-old ex-Nedbank Cup Ke Yona team star, who joined Pirates for the 2013/14 season, now looks set to join Abafana Bes'thende.

Arrows assistant coach Mandla Ncikazi has confirmed that a potential deal is on the cards, with the player showing signs of being the missing link in the team.

"Let’s wait for the management's call. He [Davies] is training with us," confirmed Ncikazi after training on Wednesday.

"He is a good player and hopefully everything goes well, but we would love to have him if everything goes according to our plan."

Free agent Davies was previously on the books of second-tier sides Royal Eagles, University of Pretoria and Real Kings, and has been training with Arrows for weeks.

The Durban side also confirmed the release of Richard Matloga and Bongani Kama.
