Happy Jele says Orlando Pirates are focused on fixing their defensive mistakes

Pirates have not started the season well after getting booted out of two competitions, the MTN8 and CAF Champions League.

Despite scoring goals in their last few games, but the Mighty Buccaneers have still been leaking goals at the back.

Jele is confident that Pirates will come back a much-improved team after the international break.

"We have been doing a lot of things [during the international break]. Checking all the mistakes we have been doing, checking the things we have been doing as a team, trying to do the right things in the right step. So far it's been good and we are looking forward to going back and working," said Jele.

Pirates return to action with a clash against Stellenbosch FC in the Telkom Knockout at Orlando Stadium on Saturday.

With the Ghost now waiting for good results from the players, Jele has refused to make a lot of promises.

"The focus for us now is to fix the mistakes we've been making and just try to rectify. We will see. Let's fix the house first and see afterwards. We are not happy with the way we have been performing and we want to improve."

Pirates are set to welcome back midfielder Ben Motshwari after he fully recovered from a knee injury.
