Kaizer Chiefs have included midfielder Hendrick Ekstein in the squad that will face Golden Arrows in today's Absa Premiership encounter.

Ekstein has missed the club's past two games as he continues to negotiate a new deal, but following Kabelo Mahlasela's injury, he was called to report for camp.

Mahlasela was replaced by Dumisani Zuma in the 14th minute after he limped off the field during Saturday's Nedbank Cup semifinal win over Chippa United.

"Ja the boy has been called up in camp as well," a source tells snl24.com/kickoff.

"But I don't know whether he is gonna start or not, but he is with the team in camp. So with Mahlasela out they called him in.

"You will never know what the coaches think... you will have to accept whatever they are deciding. You can never fight these things, you just have to respect them."

Amakhosi are seventh on the log table with 37 points with four matches remaining, and are fighting for a top-eight spot. Kick-off at FNB Stadium is at 19h30.
