Hendrik Ekstein's agent Palesa Mkhize has commented on the possibility of his client going to Orlando Pirates as Kaizer Chiefs talks continue to go nowhere.
Mkhize has been waiting for weeks for the club to confirm a date to meet regarding Ekstein's increasingly negative situation at Naturena, and the player himself recently posted a very cryptic tweet that could be interpreted a certain way.

Earlier today Chiefs' football manager told this website the club will only make official announcements regarding player contracts, with rumours rife they are set announce Ekstein's exit in the near future.

"You know when the season ends he will be free, you understand. Right now we can negotiate with any club, and there's no rush in doing this. I think once we approach the other clubs definitely we will find interest for the player," Mkhize tells snl24.com/kickoff.
"I haven't spoken to Pirates yet, we haven't said anything to them. They haven't called us, neither the other teams... I don't know, maybe if it's them who keeps calling me with privates [cellphone numbers] because I don't answer private calls [laughs]. So ja maybe they've been calling me with private numbers cause I've had a couple of privates calling me.
"I don't want to talk with other clubs until I finish with Chiefs. I don't want to confuse the boy and I don't want to get confused as well. What if we agree on terms while I'm still talking to other clubs, and the next thing he signs with Chiefs? One is going to feel betrayed, you know, you need to be really professional about this.

"If we don't agree with Chiefs then we can start looking for another club for the boy. We will see because the league is not finished yet... it's not like this boy is in a rush, we don't want to make mistakes here because his future is what is important. He is the one who tells me... me I can only advise, I can't decide for him.
"Chiefs is the club that developed him, gave him a platform from their development and he wouldn't mind staying at Chiefs, he still wants to play there you see. But if the parties don't agree then he might have to look elsewhere.
"We need to be honest about it, we know him because of Chiefs, and if they want to keep him we will respect that and he will stay and serve them."
