Media reports surfaced today claiming the Lions of the North have beaten the likes of Polokwane City to the player's signature.

Highlands co-director and technical director Larry Brookstone was quick to throw cold water on the rumour.

"I've signed a player from Black Leopards? I've signed nobody. We've spoken to nobody and signed nobody," Brookstone tells snl24.com/kickoff.

"It's not true, there's no truth to that," adds Tshepe's agent Basia Michaels.

"Karabo hasn't signed with Highlands. I'm busy in the middle of a transaction with two probable other suitors for him.

"In all honesty, there's no such thing. There's absolutely no such thing, Highlands Park is not one of the teams that we have spoken to about this.

"We have tried to engage Highlands but our engagement has fallen completely on deaf ears. And therefore we have entertained people that are entertaining us at this point in time. So Highlands is not one of them.

"There is engagement with other teams and these teams have shown interest, they've called me for his services you know.

"Highlands know that I'm his agent and that he is represented by us. I initially tried to communicate with Highlands but it has unfortunately not worked."
