Abafana Bes'thende are blessed with so many talented players and most of them haven't played competitive football for months due to serious competition in the team, that has created some debate on whether Arrows are destroying talent or not.
Steve Komphela has given clarification why players like Sanele Mathenjwa, Sphelele Magubane, Nkanyiso Mngwengwe, Maximillian Mbaeva and Musa Bilankulu are now finding it hard to crack the starting line-up.
"Mathenjwa is going through a rusty period as he's coming back from an injury, he's still finding his way back to the team, not only him, you still have Ndwandwe, Molefe, Magubane, Mngwengwe and others," Komphela said.
"Lot of talented players, when a player comes from an injury it very difficult to click, and we play a very high intensity game, in position we play, out of position we press, so you need someone who is sharp. It not easy to reach that level, so some of them are still getting there.
"I wish at some stage we can have a team of Magubane, Chonco and all those who are not getting game time but it not easy. Now it's a question of giving them confidence as soon as they are ready and they can complete 90 minutes, we can throw them. Those players you can pick from their touch in training that they still need lot of work because of match fitness."
Komphela believes despite not getting much game time, those players will respect their contract with Arrows and not talk with other clubs.
"Nah, 'm not worried, the standard one is that they are contracted, two managing players it very important. Make them understand that listen, we can only choose 18, we can only play 11 and based on that, we can accept that we working for Golden Arrows that what we trying to pitch and sell."
