Kotei, 26, arrived at Naturena on a free transfer in July last year after the snubbing a contract extension with Tanzanian giants Simba SC – where he developed a reputation as one of the finest defensive midfielders on the continent.

However, he lasted just six months at Chiefs before being released without making his official debut, as Amakhosi replaced him with Kenya international Anthony Akumu during the January transfer window.

But Kotei's injury issues continued in Europe and the Belarussian top-flight side has now confirmed that his contract has been terminated by mutual consent without registering a single appearance.

It marks another blow in the progression of the former Liberty Professionals star, who has now been tipped to return to African football.
