Kaizer Chiefs confirm Sifiso Hlanti arrival for training

Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed Bafana Bafana defender Sifiso Hlanti has started training with the club ahead of the 2020/21 season.

Hlanti is currently a free agent after leaving the now-defunct Bidvest Wits after the club sale to Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) and has been linked with a host of top-flight clubs.

However, Chiefs have emerged as favourites to land his signature despite their current FIFA transfer ban that prevents them from registering new players for the next two transfer windows.

"Sifiso Hlanti has started training with Amakhosi. The left-back last played for the now sold Bidvest Wits," read the statement on the club's Twitter account.

Amakhosi will be able to sign Hlanti immediately to reunite with head coach Gavin Hint but will be unavailable for selection in competitive fixtures unless their transfer ban is overturned by the Court of Arbitration of Sport.
