Montenegrin striker Boris Kopitovic has continued his amazing goalscoring form into the new season since being linked with Kaizer Chiefs.
Kopitovic remains in the books of Tampines Rovers in the Singapore Premier League after he agreed to an extension to his deal.

The Singapore League runs on a full calendar year and Kopitovic has scored four goals (plus two assists) in the opening five games leading to the top of the standings.
Last season he scored 41 goals (plus 19 assists) in 35 games and some agents then rubbed off his name on Chiefs as AmaKhosi went on a hunt for another striker prior to landing Christian Saile Basomboli.
According to the agent who was behind the push to get him into Chiefs, Kopitovic wasn’t keen on a trial and wanted to listen to the offer.
There were concerns raised about the standard of the Singapore League.
It was then that the move suffered a stillbirth.
Undeterred by the failed move, Kopitovic has returned to Rovers and maintained the incredible scoring feat that has left him as the joint-leading scorer in the league.
The towering forward is now into his fourth year in Singapore.
He previously played in the UEFA Champions League and Europa League qualifiers while still playing in Montenegro’s top tier where he scored 35 goals in 136 games playing for OFK Petrovac, Kom Podgorica, and FK Mladost.
The only other player from Montenegro to ever play in the PSL before was Slavko Damjanovic who spent six months at BidVest Wits in 2017 playing six games before returning home.
