Giovanni Solinas dedicates Kaizer Chiefs' victory to the fans

Amakhosi were clicking from the word go and produced one of their best performance of the season to clinch their first win of the new campaign.

A brace from Khama Billiat and goals from Siyabonga Ngezana and Philani Zulu sealed the the win in Cape Town on Saturday.

“I’m very happy, my boys deserve to win the game. I want to thank my guys because they played a brilliant game. Everyone played very well today,” Solinas told SuperSport TV.

The Italian was not bothered when he was asked about the blow of striker Leonardo Castro who got injured early and was substituted ten minutes before halftime.

“It’s a pity that we lost [Leonardo] Castro early but I have good players in the bench. The players who came in played very well. Bernard Parker, [Philani] Zulu, the performance is very good today from everyone.

“We created a lot of chances, it’s okay I’m happy for the result. I’m also happy for our fans. They pushed the players for this result so this victory is for our fans,” he concluded.
