The Glamour Boys confirmed that Zwane will take over the reins as permanent head coach on a three-year deal effective immediately.

The 48-year-old will be assisted by Dillon Sheppard who has also been handed a three-year contract.

Zwane, who was previously the assistant coach to Stuart Baxter, was appointed as interim coach after Amakhosi parted ways with the Englishman on April 21 following a disappointing run of form in the 2021/22 season.

The Soweto giants are at risk of dropping to the fifth position on the log as the DStv Premiership season is yet to be concluded with Orlando Pirates, Royal AM and SuperSport United still in action.

However, Chiefs will be eager to begin the new 2022/23 season on a fresh note as they are expected to be quite busy in the transfer window, having already secured the signings of Zitha Kwinika and Ashley Du Preez.
