Kaizer Chiefs legend Abel "Chacklas" Shongwe believes that the club has turned the corner and will be difficult to beat in their remaining games.

Amakhosi manage to get their first win of 2022 after struggling to beat a Baroka side that currently sits in 16th position on the DStv Premiership table.

Shongwe says the win will help give Chiefs players the much-needed boost.

"To be honest, Chiefs, it's time for them to regroup and start winning these remaining games,” he tells Kickoff.com.

"I think the Baroka game was a big booster for the team, and hopefully for their next coming games, they will also recharge their batteries.

"I think it was a great win against Baroka, So it's a matter of the team regrouping now and bringing back those glory days that Chiefs used to have before.

"So I think right now we will start turning the corner and do what's good for the loyal supporters because Chiefs is not a small team.

“So, the games that they are left with now, if they start approaching them as cup finals, I don't see them getting beaten by any team.

"I think good things will definitely come their way since their last game against Baroka. The Baroka win was a big boost to the boys, and hopefully the next coming games we won't look back."

Shongwe also added that he was very impressed with the way Sabelo Radebe came into the match and provided an assist.

"I think it's good to give these small boys a chance, Radebe is a good player, he has worked with Arthur (Zwane) so he understands what Arthur wants from him.

"Same like Nkosingiphile Ngcobo, I think if these boys are given a chance they always do good. I think it's time to believe in them,” he said.
