Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has heaped praise on Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Njabulo Blom after handing the 22-year-old a recall to the national team.
Having previously been utilised as a right-back or right-sided midfielder, Njabulo Blom has emerged as one of the standout performers in the DStv Premiership this season since returning to his more accustomed role in the centre of the park.
The 22-year-old's impressive form for the Amakhosi has not gone unnoticed after he was called up by national team coach Hugo Broos for Bafana Bafana's two friendlies against Mozambique and Angola later this month.

Blom had previously only played once in the gold and green, featuring as a substitute in South Africa's 1-0 win over Ghana in September last year, but has returned to the fold as Broos continues his search for a reliable defensive midfielder.
"...I think when I saw the performances of Kaizer Chiefs the last five or six weeks, they were struggling a bit although they are doing better little by little now, but Blom was always performing," Broos said during his squad announcement on SABC Sport.
"He was not disappointing, even in a team that was not really playing well. I think if you can do that... and then the way he is playing now in that position – because before he was at right-back or right offensive midfielder – but what he is doing now is also what I am looking for when I am looking for a defensive midfielder."
