Defender Eric Mathoho has penned an emotional farewell to Kazier Chiefs and club supporters following the announcement of his departure after 11 years at the club.
Amakhosi announced on Thursday that Mathoho would be leaving the club at the end of his current contract on June 30.
KickOff reported at the start of March that the 33-year-old was among several Chiefs stars set to leave the club at the end of the season as Amakhosi look to continue replenishing the squad.
Often hampered by injuries according to head coach Arthur Zwane, the tall centre-back featured just once for Chiefs this season – a one minute appearance against SuperSport United in August.

Mathoho has since take to social media to send a touching farewell to the team and club supporters.
"Firstly, I’d like to thank my chairman (Dr Motaung) for the opportunity to play for one of the biggest team in Africa, not only the country," Mathoho wrote.
"Kaizer Chiefs, you and the entire family have welcomed me with open arms and treated me as one of your own throughout our entire journey. In those 11 years we shared some great memories and moments together.
"To all Kaizer Chiefs supporters, I’d like to thank you for the support and kindness you’ve shown towards me through thick and thin, both on and off the pitch.
"To all my teammates I’d like to thank you for the moments we shared on the pitch. To the family, thank you for the opportunity to work with you, representing me.
Mathoho accumulated 267 appearances and collected three trophies during a glittering career with Amakhosi, including a Absa Premiership title in 2015.
