Katlego Mashego draws inspiration from tertiary qualification graduate Siboniso Gaxa

accreditation

Gaxa defied all odds to set an example to many soccer players that they can still study while playing professional football.

'Pa' has joined other local players with tertiary qualifications like Lehlohonolo Majoro, Lawrence Ntswane, Vusi Sibiya and Thabo Mnyamane.

Former Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns striker Mashego is another player busy with LLB studies at Unisa, and he hopes to finish soon.

"Pa has always been a smart guy, congratulations to him," Mashego tells snl24.com/kickoff.

"He started studying while still at SuperSport United and came back from [playing] overseas and still carried on with his studies. I am also busy with an LLB degree and drawing a lot inspiration from him."

'Mahoota' last played for Chippa United last season and is currently keeping himself busy with indoor football.

"Besides studying there are a couple of other things I am doing," adds Mashego. "I still play [indoor football] to keep myself fit. I will know next month if I will still keep playing."
