Billiat was involved in all the goals scored by Chiefs in the 3-1 win over hapless Swallows at the Dobsonville Stadium making a loud statement as he returned to action after missing the midweek draw against AmaZulu due to illness.

Minus Billiat against Usuthu, Chiefs were insipid in the attack.

Upon his return, he scored twice and then provided an assist for Dolly.

That brace was his first for the season and only his second double since he arrived at Kaizer Chiefs in 2018.

Following yesterday’s match, Billiat is now on 10 goal contributions for the season with five strikes and another five assists.

Four of the assists from Billiat have fed Dolly’s goal tally which stands at six.

Billiat has been involved with either an assist or goal in nine of the 17 league strikes that Chiefs have managed to date.

Dolly also touched double numbers yesterday as he now stands on six goals and four assists for a total of 10 goal contributions just like Billiat.

Just like Billiat, Dolly has been contributed to over half the goals scored by Chiefs in the league this season.

Dolly has featured in all games this season while Billiat has missed one.

The duo is enjoying a telepathic understanding which was developed at Ajax Cape Town before thriving at Mamelodi Sundowns.

Billiat – who has been dusting off doubts about his influence and effectiveness that pushed his critics to dance in the rain last term – has also now moved even closer to reaching the landmark 100 goals playing for a PSL club.

At 94 goals, the 31-year-old is the top scorer of all players currently playing topflight football.
