Kaizer chiefs star attacker Khama Billiat has reaffirmed the squad’s desire to win silverware this season.
"I want to win something. Every season I want to win something, so I keep on working hard, individually and as a team. We need everyone [players] to realise that the team deserves to get something every season and we’re looking forward to competing. It’s looking good and we’re ready," the attacker said.
Khama Billiat has proven to be one of Amakhosi’s most important players, scoring eight times and assisting eight times during his 29 appearances for Chiefs last season.
Now in his fifth year at Amakhosi, Billiat is regarded as one of the club’s senior players alongside Itumeleng Khune, Sifiso Hlanti and Eric Mathoho among others, the forward has outlined the squad’s goals this season.
"Without putting pressure on anyone, we want to be very competitive this season. We want to compete for everything that comes our way. We want to go all the way and give everything that we can. I think it's one for the seasons where we have good payers and good energy in the team," he added.
After two match days into the 22/23 DStv Premiership campaign, Chiefs are set to face perhaps their toughest test yet in the form of league title defending Champions Mamelodi Sundowns.
Billiat has already proven to be a vital player in Zwane’s side, assisting in two of Chiefs’ three goals against Royal AM.
