Lehlohonolo Seema thrilled with Bloemfontein Celtic win

Despite the majority of chances going the hosts' way, a second-half Lyle Lakay strike from range proved the difference as the Free State side took maximum points, much to the delight of Seema.

“We started very slow, and we knew Polokwane was going to come at us,” he told SuperSportTV after the game. “It was quite hot, and while we were trying to adjust, they got their chances, but didn’t use them.

“We told our boys before we started the game that the longer we maintained that clean sheet, the more chances we’d get, and we buried the one we got.

“I am happy for the team – we’ve played a lot of games without any luck, but today we took it. People say we may have won by luck, but we’ll take it, it’s fine. It was a difficult game overall.

“I think today, if you don’t believe in spirits … haha!”

The win sees Siwele leapfrog Free State Stars and Ajax Cape Town into 12th position on the log, while Polokwane City remain seventh.
