Zongo recently went AWOL again at his new club Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila before returning to training a few days later.
Just like Zongo, 'All You Need Is Love' is also infamous for being an extremely talented midfielder who is prone to pulling disappearing acts.
"He has grown and he's got too much responsibility. So if he doesn't use this opportunity now, because he's got talent, he must redeem himself and then focus on what he is good at."
Chabangu says the mistake players who lose PSL contracts due to ill-discipline often make is to cry over spilt milk instead of starting with a fresh slate.
"Whatever happened previously and what he was supposed to achieve, he mustn't think of that because that's what is going to bring him down. Forget what you once were in life," he advises.
"So he must be positive going forward. He must not think of 'hey, I should be up there'. Anything can happen. He can build his life. Good things will come after him again in his life.
"Because there's a long way to go, there's a long road to drive. I don't think his football can be finished just like that. If God gave you something, it's yours. And his life when you take a look at it, it's got to be based on football.
"So he must just grab the opportunity that he gets here and then do what he is best at. Anything can happen. What matters most is life, he's still got life.
"God is still providing him with strength to do this and so that matters most. It's only you and yourself who decides what to do and what not to do."
Chabangu is still using his talent at Baberwa FC in the ABC Motsepe League.
