The 25-year-old recently left Chiefs for Wits following a lack of game-time under Ernst Middendorp, who told the defender he was no longer in his plans.
Chiefs are currently 15 points ahead of Wits but if the Clever Boys win all four games in hand they will be only three points behind Chiefs with 11 games still to play in the Absa Premiership.
"[Laughs] Currently I would prefer Wits [to win the title] as that's where I'm playing now," Gordinho tells snl24.com/kickoff.
"But it's going to be tight you know. We could look at it both ways. There could be an advantage [for Wits].
"You could say we have games in hand you know but on the other hand, yes, you could say we still have to get points in those games.
"So we as a team, we have to be sure and have everything in plan to get every single point in every game."
Asked if he thought Wits have the squad to challenge Chiefs for the number one spot, Gordinho was confident.
"Yes I think so. Ja if I'm given a chance I want to help the team, and that's what I'm here to do you know.
"I want to be part of the team, to be a part of the squad and do my best so that the team can benefit. Ja no, I'm looking forward to the rest of the season."
The Clever Boys' next league game is against Black Leopards at home next Thursday, but before that they take on Djoliba in their final CAF Confederation Cup group game.
Wits have been eliminated from the competition already having picked up just two points in five matches.
