Lucky Khune hoping to earn Bidvest Wits contract

accreditation

The 30-year-old is currently on the books of Gauteng ABC Motsepe League club Baberwa FC playing alongside the likes of Lerato Chabangu.

Khune's performances for Baberwa have caught the eye of Wits head coach Gavin Hunt and he ended up inviting the player to train with the team.

Baberwa chairman Joe Seanego confirms the Clever Boys' interest in his player.

"Wits want him, I think he will sign in January," Seanego tells snl24.com/kickoff.

"He trained with them for two weeks at the beginning of last month, and they are interested in him for the January [transfer] window."

Khune is taking a short break from football at the moment to focus on his transportation business but will be back at Baberwa soon to keep fit.

"Right now in terms of fitness he is super fit," Seanego adds. "Last season he performed, he was one of our top players."
