Major changes as Sekhukhune United release 18 players

The Gauteng-based club clinched promotion to the top-flight after winning the GladAfrica Championship in dramatic fashion on the final day of the season.

Sekhukhune have so far been extremely active in the transfer market by bringing in several new players, such as Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Willard Katsande, Talent Chawapiwa and Thabo Rakhale.

According to an official club statement, on loan players Katlego Cwinyane, Wandile Bophela, Andile Bophela and Tshepo Mofokeng have returned to their parent club Orlando Pirates.

While Sibusiso Mzilazi is heading back to fellow Soweto giants, Kaizer Chiefs.

Thabang Mokoena, Thulani Ndlela, Noko Malekana, Simphiwe Hlongwane, Tshepo Makgoga, Pentjie Zulu, Junior Awono, Walter Musona, MacClive Phiri, Thabo Motlafi and Sifiso Mbhele have all been released.

According to the statement, Siphumelele Mbulu and Ntokozo Mtshweni have additionally been loaned out to GladAfrica newcomers Venda Football Academy.

Babina Noko open their 2021/22 DStv Premiership campaign at home to Chippa United at Makhulong Stadium, Tembisa on August 21.
