The Liberian international is out nursing a knee injury and is set to go for surgery, according to Mosimane.

Laffor missed the first half of the season due to a knee injury, only making his first Absa Premiership appearance against Kaizer Chiefs in January. He’s made eight league appearances since then, but it now looks like season is over for the former SuperSport United and Jomo Cosmos player.

Mosimane says Laffor has to manage himself better because he is no longer young.

“Laffor is going for surgery, under the knife. It’s unbelievable. I don’t know, probably [his season is over]. [Jeremy] Brockie’s got a groin, but fortunately Phakamani has started training today. He has not been training since after the under-23s. Nascimento has got tonsils, Aubrey has got tonsils,” Mosimane said.

“It’s not nice [for Laffor], because he always comes up and saves us. He’s got that goal that we all know about. It’s not easy, that knee has been troubling him. All the time it gets swollen. We want him to play, but he has to manage it. He has to be smart, he is not young anymore.”
