Mamelodi Sundowns have confirmed the return of former Orlando Pirates and Chippa United coach Rhulani Mokwena.

Mokwena returns to Chloorkop after three years, during which he spent two seasons as assistant coach to Milutin Sredojevic at Pirates, before taking up the interim reins for four months. He then went on 'loan' to coach Chippa.

The young tactician, who previously served as second assistant to Pitso Mosimane and Manqoba Mngqithi, will take up a similar role after he was not replaced upon his departure in 2017.

'Mokwena will travel to Rustenburg to join The Brazilians in camp as soon as he has received the results for his COVID-19 test,' Sundowns said in an official statement.
