Roger Feutmba feels Mamelodi Sundowns could have registered a better result away from home against Wydad Casablanca last Friday, but is confident they’ll progress to the CAF Champions League final.

Sundowns were beaten 2-1 by the Moroccan giants in the Champions League first leg encounter in Rabat, but will no doubt feel confident of progressing to the final after they bagged an away goal, thanks to right back Anele Ngcongca.

“Even though we expected a better result – a draw or win – Sundowns still has a chance to go to the final. The second leg is coming and they just need to make sure that they come together and be more focused. I think the second goal they conceded, there was a possibility of avoiding it,” Feutmba tells KickOff.com.

“But I believe that they have a team to win and go to the final. I watched the game and I was not really impressed with Wydad. Sundowns will go into the game with a lot of confidence after the win against Al Ahly. They were a little shaky, but here at home they must improve. We just need one goal and try to block everything. But knowing Sundowns and how they play, they will go out to try score more goals.”

Sundowns will take on Black Leopards in the Absa Premiership in Thohoyandou tomorrow night, before hosting Wydad at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday.
