Mamelodi Sundowns has been keeping everyone waiting for their first signing of the January transfer window and have finally delivered.
Sundowns announced that Amajita forward Promise Mkhuma will join the first team with immediate effect from their Multichoice Diski Challenge team.
The 19-year-old is promoted following his promising showing in the reserve league this season, in which he has scored 10 goals, and his recent rise with the under-20 national team at the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland last year.
The teenage striker has finally caught the eye of coach Pitso Mosimane, who has been searching frantically for a lethal striker and has since settled on the teenager from within the club's ranks.
The Brazilians have yet to make any other transfer moves in this window, which is set to slam shut at midnight tonight, after earlier being linked with former Kaizer Chiefs striker Knowledge Musona.
Mkhuma, however, is an exciting prospect and joins the likes of Keletso Makgalwa, Siphelele Mkhulise and Percy Tau to have come up from Sundowns' development ranks in recent times.
