With less than 48 hours left before the transfer window shuts close Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Promise Mkhuma faces being left stranded without regular game-time.

Mkhuma was close to sealing a move to Swallows FC but has been left stranded after the Dube Birds are currently unable to register new players following a FIFA-administered transfer ban.

The Soweto club have been hit by a sanction for two years due to outstanding payments to two former players, Vladimir Mandic and Obren Cuckovic.

Alongside Mkhuma Swallows are also struggling to register former SuperSport United player Evans Rusike.

The Dube Birds are also reported still owing Thabo Mosadi and Tebogo Langerman unpaid salaries from last season.

The club is currently sitting on position 14 on the log with 8 points after playing 8 games so far in the league this season.

Swallows couldn’t be reached for comment.
