Nigerian forward Peter Olanyika has moved on from Czech Republic to Serbian champions Red Star Belgrade after a proposed move to Mamelodi Sundowns failed to happen.
Olanyika has been in the books of Slavia Prague where his contract runs up at the end of June following a fruitful four-year stay.

He will now be joining Red Star on a free transfer with effect from July 1 in a move arranged by his handlers based in France who are in touch with this website.
This website has gathered that Olanyika’s name was discussed in the corridors of Chloorkop last year after his name was presented to them.
However, following several deliberations, The Brazilians decided not to pursue the 27-year-old despite there being an option of bringing him on a free transfer at the end of the season.
The decision not to bring Olanyika on board was reached after Sundowns engaged their scouting team for further input.
With the PSL rules now allowing foreign players to be deregistered during the January transfer window the club would have had the option to deregister any of the five foreign players on their books if they brought Olanyika in now.
Olanyika has scored 11 goals (plus four assists) from 23 appearances this season and has been in double figures three years in a row.
Born in Ibadan, Nigeria – Olanyika plays as a left winger-cum-forward and besides playing back home he has been in Albania, Cyprus, Belgium, Czech Republic, and will now play in Serbia.
He was in the Super Eagles squad that played at the AFCON finals at the beginning of last year featuring in the last two games at the tournament.
