The Brazilians are looking to return to the summit of African football by clinching the Champions League trophy for the first time since 2016 under then-coach Pitso Mosimane.
For all their domestic success, The Chloorkop-based side has had underwhelming output in the past two editions of the continental competition, failing to progress past the group stages.
This season, however, Sundowns have bolstered both their squad and technical team immensely to match up to the competition. Next up for Sundowns is a trip to Cameroon to face Coton Sport Football Club de Garoua on Friday evening.
