Manqele, who netted eight goals for Swallows last term, was repeatedly linked with a move to Kaizer Chiefs a while back.
However, the ex-Free State Stars man now looks ready to fight for his position at Downs after today meeting with head coach Pitso Mosimane.
Manqele's manager, Josiah Mphono of Mphono Players Management, tells snl24.com/kickoff: "Pitso has always had an open door policy with players and today we met the coach to discuss his future at Sundowns.
"The coach said he was happy with the player's performance at Swallows last season and wants to give him a chance again at Sundowns this coming season. Both parties are happy to work together again and help Sundowns win trophies next season."
Manqele adds: "It's true I met with the coach and I am back at Sundowns."
