A defiant Dan 'Dance' Malesela has refused to recognise being placed on 'special leave' by DStv Premiership side Marumo Gallants and insists he will be reporting for training.

Gallants earlier on Monday released a statement confirming that Malesela had been placed on special leave with experienced tactician Dylan Kerr recruited as a consultant.

The Limpopo side sit rock bottom of the standings and appear favourites for the drop.

Malesela is now insisting that the club has failed to inform him of their decision and will continue fulfilling his coaching duties.

"Even now I haven't heard anything, no one has told me there are changes," Malesela tells KickOff.

"According to my knowledge, I'm still a head coach.

"Tomorrow in the afternoon, I will be reporting for duty as usual.

"It will depend on what happens [If he finds Dylan Kerr in charge of training sessions].

"Look, anything can happen between now and tomorrow, so let's wait."

Asked for his opinion on what Malesela, said Gallants media officer Rufus Matsena replied.

"We've released a statement as a club, the club has decided not to add anything else to what has been already said."
