Maritzburg United will be desperate for their first victory of the season when they host Black Leopards at Harry Gwala Stadium tonight.

Team of Choice midfielder Miguel Timm admits a victory over Lidoda Duvha will boost their confidence and allow them to enjoy their international break if they can secure their first maximum points of the season.

"It's for our own confidence, we would like to go into the international break with four points, then we will have three weeks to regroup and prepare for our next game," he said.

United after three games have collected two points and in all of those matches they have been dominant but not got positive rewards for their good performances.

With Leopards having added new and experienced players to their team, Timm believes as much as it won't be easy, their home advantage will be on their side.

"Everyone understands their individual roles and collective tasks, we are just short of goals and a bit of luck," he added.

"It won't be easy playing against a team with good signings and experienced players but we are going there confident and knowing we are playing at home."
