Mogakolodi Ngele still has a future at Black Leopards following injury absence

The 29-year-old former Mamelodi Sundowns attacking midfielder has played only one game for the Limpopo side since joining at the beginning of the season.

Eymael acknowledges that injuries have also contributed to the Botswana international's lack of action.

"Ngele? He came back from injury. He played one game. He's been injured so he just came back when I arrived. It was a slow training in the two, three days and then after now he can train with the group for more than one week," Eymael tells

Asked about rumours that the player will be released from his contract in the January transfer window, Eymael was not sure.

"I don't know about that, I don't know about his contract and I don't know about anything about that. I'm appreciating all the players that are here, but everybody has to fight to get his place in the eleven or the eighteen.

"I'm happy with what I have under my hand. If we can reinforce we will do it but that's another question because that's another problem because... we assess these players, and now you know me I give my technical decision, now the real decision is with the owner you know [laughs], it's in the court of the owner.

"Now he [Ngele] has to show me to have game time, but you know there's not so many games remaining until the end of December. But like everybody he is in the same line like everybody, then we have to take a decision but I see in the training that he is improving every day."

Eymael says he sees no reason why the former Platinum Stars player won't finish the season at the club if he proves his qualities at training.

"For this season? Yes, why not? I think he is a player who has quality, but he has to find back his repairs you know. When you come back from an injury you play one game, the game number eight or number nine... and you know everybody takes time to come back like that," he explained.

"But he was an international player for Botswana and my friend the coach of Botswana, Adel Amrouche, told me that he is a very good player. But everybody has to show me at the training sessions. I can say he's been struggling with an injury, I say seven days, eight days he's been training with the group."
