Mohammed Anas wants to emulate Asamoah Gyan and play for Ghana at AFCON

Ghana and Kenya have already booked a place in the finals in June this year and are set to meet in Kumasi this weekend to fight for first spot in their qualifying group.

Kenya are currently leading Group F with seven points, one point above the Black Stars who are sitting in second position above Ethiopia.

With all eyes set for the AFCON qualifiers this weekend, Anas has set his sights on representing Ghana in Egypt.

"My goal and wish is to go to the AFCON finals in Egypt this year," Anas tells

"I have only played for the under-17 national team and still not yet wone the senior national team jersey. That's all I am dreaming of now.

"I have watched my idol Asamoah Gyan playing for the national team. I draw a lot of inspiration from him and hence I wear jersey number three. I want to achieve almost the same feats that he achieved with the national team."
