The coach who once led Maluti to a famous 4-1 win over Orlando Pirates in the Nedbank Cup in February 2013 takes over a position previously held by Lehlohonolo Seema. Seema was roped in by first team head coach Serame Letsoaka as his assistant towards the end of last season.

Celtic media officer Sello Nduna says Ramoreboli officially started his duties on Friday.

“He is a local boy. He will coach our MDC team and will oversee our junior teams,” Nduna tells KickOff.com.

Ramorebili used social media to express his excitement over his new venture.

"I’m so thankful to God for this new chapter in my life,” he wrote. “Thank you to all friends and fans for being with me in this journey.”

Ramoreboli was previously the head coach of First Division side African Warriors, but was sacked in October last year after winning just one of his eight games in charge. Warriors ended the season in 15th spot as they were relegated to the ABC Motsepe League.
