SAFA technical director Neil Tovey believes Morocco, Ivory Coast and Namibia are not happy to be in the same Africa Cup of Nations group as South Africa.
Tovey believes the other teams are more worried about being in the same group with Bafana Bafana than the other way around.
"Any group would have been difficult in our seedings, but like I said I don't think any of the other groups would have wanted us as a third choice. No one would have wanted Bafana," Tovey tells KickOff.com.
"As much as we are not wanting this, not wanting that or whatever, I don't think any of these other teams would have liked us. You ask Morocco, you ask Cote d'Ivoire, I don't think they would have wanted Bafana in their group. They would have said probably no.
"We must just take one game at a time and go through to the next round and don't talk about winning it. One game at a time and see how this tournament goes. If we play the same way we played away against Nigeria and Libya we will be fine."
Tovey says SAFA will be looking for nations that play similar football to Bafana's Group D opponents to give the national team proper preparation for the tournament in Egypt.
"We are still talking about that one [friendlies], we've got a meeting where we will discuss who we would want, like for like or something," Tovey adds.
"We want maybe a like for like in Ghana and Cote d'Ivoire, and some North African and Southern African. So you sort of go to those type of friendlies."
