Mpumalanga Black Aces coach Barker: Nale will come right

Nale impressed on loan at Aces last term, but the midfielder's drawn out move from Kaizer Chiefs - which was completed in August - has disrupted his progress.

“We got it wrong with him... at the beginning of the season he didn’t train with the team for pre-season because of that he has the lost the ability to attack and pass people, but he’ll come right,” Barker tells KickOff.com.

“He is nowhere to the player he was last season at this stage.”

Nale, nevertheless, has been captaining AmaZayoni in the absence of Eddie Ngalo. Barker explains why he handed the role to the 28-year-old.

“It was a tough situation because Eddie didn’t play in the past two games and because of that we moved with Abia.

“In the last four games we won two and draw games and we haven’t lost until today [against Ajax Cape Town in the Telkom Knockout on Sunday] after five matches. So I think we let it go because of the success.”

Barker's men next face Moroka Swallows in the Absa Premiership at Dobsonville Stadium on October 18.
