In this edition of My Muti Story, a former teammate of Idah Peterside reveals how the goalkeeper left Tembisa Classic.

According to Calvin Motloung the now 49-year-old former Super Eagles goalkeeper was released by Tembisa Classic after he refused to use the club's muti.

"That's what made Idah Peterside leave the club," Motloung tells KickOff.

"The club management couldn't convince him otherwise; he told them straight 'I'd rather rot on the bench'.

"They threatened to fire him, but he stood his ground telling them 'Niks! I'm a pastor.'

"That guy couldn't even stand the sight of muti.

"Some of us were still youngsters then and scared of the chairman but not grootman Idah Peterside.

"Arthur Zwane was also our teammate then. After that, the club decided not to play Idah.

"Before that, he had conceded few goals in that one match. They accused him of costing the club that day by refusing to use the club's muti.

"Yes, he was told straight 'We lost because you are using your own anointed oil while the rest of us we using one staff. The enemy used you to get to us.

"From there he watched all training sessions from the sidelines. He was never allowed to train up until he changed his stunt on muti.

"He ended up leaving the club.

"Yaa we are a team here. We die together."
