'Neymar lacks match fitness'

accreditation

Barcelona star Neymar failed to impress in a goalless draw with ten-man South Africa in his country's Group A opener in Brasilia on Thursday.

However, physical trainer Marcos Seixas believes the 24-year-old will hit his stride with more game-time.

"He hasn't got any momentum going," physical trainer Marcos Seixas said.

"He doesn't have any because this was his second game of the season. I believe that the next couple of games will help his performance levels.

"Physically and technically he is gifted, and due to this he should be able to get back into shape quickly.

"The little moments make the difference when you are talking about a player who is at the peak of his fitness, he will do more than those who have 30 or 35 games under their belts already."

The tournament hosts next face Iraq - who also drew 0-0 with Denmark in their first match - on August 7.
