Manqana is out of contract at the end of the month and the delay in the conclusion of a new deal could be a signal that although the club wants him to stay, they are not making him a priority.
snl24.com/kickoff has gathered that the delay in finalising a new deal is around money issues as Manqana is understood to be holding out for a considerable increase, which the club is not keen to offer him.
“The club told me that we will sort out the contract issues when we re-open for pre-season,” he tells snl24.com/kickoff.
Manqana has been a regular at AmaZulu since his arrival at the club and last season he started 26 games in all competitions.
This website has also been made aware that there is another club considering taking on the 27-year-old, who had an offer from Bidvest Wits in January.
