Stellenbosch have all but completed the signing of Nyiko Mobbie on a season-long loan deal from Mamelodi Sundowns.
The 24-year-old joined Sundowns in July from relegated Free State Stars and was expected to be sent out on loan, with Stellies coach Steve Barker confirming that the right-back has joined the club.
"Yes we currently finalising Nyiko's move with us, we should complete the deal by the end of work today," Barker tells snl24.com/kickoff.
The newly promoted Absa Premiership side host Maritzburg United on Sunday afternoon and Barker says it is very important for them to get three points.
"We are looking at getting maximum points on Sunday, we know it won't be easy but we've prepared very well in the last two weeks to make sure we do well."
Stellies have one point from two matches after an opening-day goalless draw at Chippa United followed by a 1-0 Cape derby defeat to Cape Town City at Athlone Stadium.
