Orlando Pirates midfielder Xola Mambo explains how important a role Rhulani Mokwena is playing

Mlambo has scooped a few man of the match awards this season and was named as Pirates’ best player for the month of August.

'Ten-Ten', as Mlambo is affectionately known, has been a key figure in central midfield for the Buccaneers as a box-to-box midfielder. Mokwena worked wonders with Bongani Zungu, who was moved into a deep playmaker role at Sundowns, and is currently doing the same with Mlambo.

“To be honest coach Rhulani Mokwena is pushing me hard as we come long way. We worked together at Black Poison. He is [the] secret behind my performances,” Mlambo tells snl24.com/kickoff.

“I don’t think I would be dishing out my utmost best even though at times I feel it’s not enough. But with great surroundings of quality players, it makes it easy for me because they cover my mistakes not seen in certain moments. They help me become better player,” he adds.

There have been calls for Mlambo to be included in the Bafana Bafana squad and it’s only a matter of time before coach Stuart Baxter gives the former Bidvest Wits man to shine on the international stage.
