Orlando Pirates new signings Fortune Makaringe and Siphesihle Ndlovu have received a tribute from Maritzburg United chairman Farook Kadodia.
The duo were amongst six new signings confirmed to have penned deals with Pirates on Monday, following weeks of speculation linking them to the Soweto giants.
With the Buccaneers having got back to business yesterday, Kadodia has explained why they were let go of before wishing them well in the next chapters of their careers.

“Fortune and Siphesihle have been an integral part of the team over the past few seasons and have become household names due to their consistent excellence on the football field,” he said in a club statement.
“In an ideal world, of course, we would have liked to keep players like these, but such is the nature of football across the world, that good performances will be recognised by bigger clubs.
“We also have to respect that players want to move on to fresh challenges and test themselves in new environments – it would not be fair to stand in their way.
“It’s been fantastic to see how the two players have grown in stature during their time with Maritzburg United, and it’s a tribute to the club’s commitment to development and to those coaches who have worked hard to help them realise their full potential.”
